Students returning to their courses this autumn will not only be learning about their chosen studies - they will also get a chance to be 'Vegucated' about their eating habits, with two free screenings in November of this life-altering documentary.
Part sociological experiment and part adventure comedy, 'Vegucated' follows three meat- and cheese-loving New Yorkers who agree to adopt a vegan diet for six weeks. Lured by tales of weight lost and health regained, they begin to uncover the hidden sides of animal agriculture that make them wonder whether solutions offered in films like Food, Inc. go far enough. This entertaining documentary showcases the rapid and at times comedic evolution of three people who discover they can change the world one bite at a time.

http://www.getvegucated.com/ ''Vegucated' gives a really light-hearted look at the positive aspects of going veggie and vegan, and will help everybody gain a fresh awareness and perspective of the food that they put into their bodies. It seems a paradox that we have some of the most intelligent people on the planet, and yet so few of us get any education about the food we eat. Being a current 3rd year PhD sudent at Bristol Uni myself, I aim to change this.
To convince you that vegan food can actually be delicious, contrary to stereotypical views, and address some FAQs on going vegan, I've put together the following list of activities:

This event is 100% FREE. Meanwhile, we plan to raise funds for the vegan charity VEGFAM, who has been feeding the hungry over the years WITHOUT EXPLOITING ANIMALS.
